Well I Am Back....Did You Miss Me?

This last week was full of activities and sorrow. For those who didn't know, my Grandfather on my mother's side passed away in the early morning of July 12, 2011, the same day that my mother and I would be leaving for camp. I decided to continue to go to camp, while my mom went south to my grandmother's house to help her around the house and prepare for the funeral. Although this last week at camp was fun the overwhelming sense of sorrow was there constantly. On Wednesday we were able to go tubing in the river and unfortunately I was pulled under the water and got a bruise on my forehead from hitting a tree. Needless to say, I did not get into the river again. However, by far, the most popular water activities was the gigantic slip-n'-slide made out of heavy plastic and tarps and was positioned on a hill where we could get maximum speed. It was the most cooling activity on an almost 100 degree day. We went on the hike up a very steep hill the next day, and "unfurled our banner of Virtue on the mountain top." What more can I say except that it was very exhausting and we slept well that night. The next morning our ward was the second ward out of the campsite leaving me waiting for about an extra 15-20 minutes waiting for my dad who will be taking me to St. George for the funeral the next day. The Funeral was sweet and tear jerking, but it was nice to see all of my cousins again. That night my widowed grandmother gave a lesson on the plan of Salvation and the spirit world. Then today I was able to come home and drive most of the way. Well, that was my week and so now my bird and I are eating sugar babies. Bye for now.
